Hackensack Meridian Mental and Wellness Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Providing comprehensive clinical services tailored to the unique needs of clients, ensuring that every treatment plan is person-centered and recovery-based.
• Conducting ongoing assessments to evaluate clients' treatment needs and adjusting plans as necessary.
• Collaborating with clients in formulating and implementing individualized service plans, focusing on their strengths and goals.
• Facilitating skill-building activities, including coping strategies, problem-solving techniques, and effective communication skills.
• Educating clients on accessible community resources and acting as an advocate to help them connect with these services.
• Offering support in developing daily living skills, leisure activities, and behavior management strategies that contribute to overall well-being.

This role primarily supports adults who are experiencing challenges related to mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and other behavioral health disorders. Our clients often face difficulties in maintaining stability and independence, and your expertise will be vital in helping them navigate these challenges, attain their personal goals, and integrate back into their communities.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
• A current, valid state license recognized by the state board, such as LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or PsyD.
• The ability to practice independently without supervision and a clean license record with no disciplinary actions.
• Strong clinical skills with prior experience in direct client service delivery.
• Proficient computer skills and access to a reliable Wi-Fi connection suitable for telehealth services.
