Our award-winning Marketing team is growing and in search of a Senior Marketing Specialist who is passionate about planning, developing, and implementing marketing strategies in support of a new, major statewide wildfire recovery program. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least five years of professional marketing communications experience looking forward to building a long-term career with an innovative company that has a multitude of opportunities for growth and advancement.


The Senior Marketing Specialist will be part of the marketing account team and will work on planning, development, and implementation of marketing and advertising strategies and communications activities to support our energy efficiency efforts for a new California-wide wildfire recovery program. Working with program and disaster recovery colleagues, the marketing team conducts all aspects of marketing on two levels. The first focuses on education and awareness to key stakeholders, and the second drives awareness and participation amongst impacted communities. Collective responsibilities include strategic planning, research, identity and material development, paid media and social guidance, and partnership and outreach team support. To implement marketing campaigns, the team works with a dedicated creative and media services group, to help direct and manage various tasks and campaigns. What you will be doing:

  • Providing input and recommendations for marketing plans and outreach activities.
  • Working directly with internal team leadership and client(s) to develop and implement marketing and communications plans for stakeholder and public audiences.
  • Working to fulfill the development of marketing materials including advertising campaigns, websites, program collateral, email, print, online, social media, events, etc.
  • Working to develop, propose, and implement advertising campaigns, coordinating the deployment of integrated outreach campaigns across broadcast, print, online, social media, events, etc.
  • Managing the review and approval process for marketing materials, including working across the organization to deploy efforts.
  • Preparing monthly reports on activities and results of the marketing program.
  • Plan and run meetings with diverse internal teams, and present directly to client.
  • Providing marketing advisement and support for local outreach in impacted communities.
  • Consulting with program, disaster, IT, creative, and outreach teams on specific needs and related materials.
  • Coordinates create asset production.
  • Developing briefings, presentations, and other communications tools.
  • Tracking multiple deliverables on deadlines using Microsoft suite, including Excel spreadsheets, SharePoint, and other tools.


What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field (or applicants can substitute one year of related experience for one year of education)
  • 5+ years of working experience in marketing, advertising, social marketing, or working in consumer marketing at an advertising agency or related work experience
  • 1+ year of experience paid media, digital advertising, traditional marketing, and social media environments.
