D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Collateral Review Specialist. The right candidate will be responsible for reviewing low value appraisals, VA Tidewater appraisals, and appraisals deemed high risk by the Collateral Underwriter.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Receive and review low appraisal and VA Tidewater notifications from the Central Appraisal Department for reconsideration of value
  • Review Collateral Underwriter appraisal scores of 4.0 and higher for acceptability
  • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
  • Able to work overtime
  • Able to travel overnight
  • Handle incoming calls from the Branch Managers, Loan Processors, and Mortgage Loan Originators, addressing issues and questions on appraisals
  • Provide support for the Central Appraisal Department as needed
  • Maintain frequent contact with the Loan Processors, Mortgage Loan Originators, and Branch Managers

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and/or two years of work experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently process and record a large volume of data
