Job description

Job Description Summary
The Post Closer - Collateral Specialist I is responsible for logging in closing packages, generating Allonges, preparing the collateral packages and shipping them to the appropriate warehouse bank as well as communicating with title companies for outstanding documents and/or corrections.
The goals of this position are to retrieve and distribute reports, monitor investor websites for suspense conditions/updates, assist Collateral Specialist II with logging in daily incoming closed loan files and preparing collateral packages for shipment the day of receipt. The Collateral Specialist I must be able to handle high volume during peak times of the month and be available for overtime when necessary to meet deadlines.
Job Details
We trust that as a Post Closer - Collateral Specialist I you will: (responsibilities)
  • Log incoming closed loan packages daily
  • Review pertinent documents identified on checklist per loan type
  • Make copies of original documents as necessary
  • Prepare and ship collateral packages based upon specific warehouse requirements
  • Daily reconciliation of files received versus files outstanding reports
  • Communicate with the title companies for outstanding documents and/or corrections
  • You are willing to perform other duties as assigned

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Will have responsibilities such as:
  • This position is considered a non-exempt position for purposes of wage-hour law, which means that you will be required to keep a time record and will be eligible for overtime pay.

  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle if applicable

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time
