Compensation: $0.20 - $0.25 per hour
The Nectar Group is a cognitive training and education company that was founded in 2014. Our founder, Andrea Pitman, began her career as a secondary level teacher. Quickly into her teaching career, she became frustrated with the lack of ability to actually treat struggling learners. Instead of digging in and figuring out the causes of learning challenges, the focus was on pushing students who were behind through to the next grade through accommodations and modifications.
The problem was obvious though as each new grade came with the same struggles or growing struggles as academic rigor increased. She decided to leave the classroom to pursue her passion of uncovering and treating the "why" behind the struggles. After working for some of the first programs to offer cognitive training therapy in the USA, she became an educational consultant helping clinics, learning centers, and schools across the country before creating The Nectar Group. At The Nectar Group she has brought the best of all the approaches she has come across and enhances learning potential by incorporating integrative, holistic measures such as nutrition, exercise, and resiliency to optimize brain function and improve learning.
The team of professionals at Nectar dedicates itself to helping others reach their full potential at school, work, and all areas of life
We provide assessments, cognitive training, tutoring, college prep, study skills coaching, one-to-one schooling, and consultations to create comprehensive plans that help you or your child overcome challenges with thinking and learning abilities.
At The Nectar Group, we utilize the most cutting-edge research in neuroscience and apply it to learning with a focus on overcoming the root causes of learning challenges. We reject the status quo that the only options for helping those with learning difficulties are to accommodate, compensate, and medicate. We know that thanks to neuroplasticity the brain can change. We know that there are tools to truly unlock potential. At Nectar, your goals are our priorities.
The Nectar Group is dedicated to helping our clients reach their full potential, and also strives to create a workplace that is enriching to our entire team. We are thrilled that you are interested in pursuing a career at our organization. We are always looking for great people!
