Director of Client Implementation 

Virtual Peaker is looking for a Director of Client Implementation that will help solve the climate crisis by supporting our mission of building the utility of the future.  


Job Description

The Director of Client Implementation will lead the implementation of new program and product launches with Virtual Peaker clients. Your primary focus will be to deliver programs and products accurately, on time, and with seamless handoffs. Because Virtual Peaker manages grid-responsive DER such as batteries, electric vehicle charging, smart HVAC and water heating, and other emerging technology as critical resources for the electric grid, the successful candidate will be focused, proactive, and customer-centric. You will plug into a high-performing team and must thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong EQ and comfort with ambiguity are required. 


Role Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end implementation of new program and product launches for Virtual Peaker clients.
  • Manage projects and team members to meet or exceed client expectations. 
  • Serve as a senior point of escalation for clients during implementation, building trusted relationships with utility and program stakeholders.
  • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of implementation managers, setting clear goals and providing regular feedback and coaching.
  • Continuously improve implementation processes, playbooks, and documentation.
  • Own implementation KPIs. 
  • Other duties as assigned that contribute to Virtual Peaker’s success


Education & Experience

An ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
  • 7–10+ years of professional experience in implementation, client onboarding, or complex project delivery, including experience managing a team.
  • Experience in program development and management, ideally within a B2B SaaS or technology environment.
  • Understanding of utilities, clean energy and grid modernization issues, including DERs. 
  • Strong organizational skills, including project management, process design, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Ability to travel as needed
