Summary:

Personally generate and grow employer relationships that expands Huntington's Financial Care at Work program across an assigned region. Act as a business development officer responsible for
prospecting, building a pipeline, creating opportunities, and driving new household growth through financial education, workplace banking, and strategic partnerships. Operate with a high degree of autonomy, self-motivation, and accountability while leading employer acquisition, business adoption, employee engagement, and market growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prospect, develop, and maintain employer relationships that expand Huntington's Financial Care at Work program throughout the region.
  • Create and execute a business development strategy to build and maintain a robust pipeline of employer opportunities and decision-maker relationships.
  • Proactively generate meetings, cultivate referral sources, and identify new opportunities through networking, community engagement, existing client relationships, and internal partnerships.
  • Deliver financial education seminars, workshops, coaching sessions, and employee engagement events that drive participation and business adoption.
  • Lead decision-maker conversations and secure commitments that result in new employer partnerships and ongoing engagement.
  • Drive household growth, business adoption, customer primacy, and referral generation through disciplined execution and follow-up.
  • Operate independently with strong territory management, pipeline discipline, and a results-oriented mindset. Consistently demonstrate initiative, persistence, and personal ownership for outcomes.
  • Partner with Branch Managers, Relationship Bankers, Retail leadership, and specialty partners to maximize market impact and growth opportunities.
  • Coach and enable branch teams to increase referrals, financial education participation, and customer engagement.
  • Maintain pipeline activity, employer relationship plans, and results tracking within approved systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 4 or more years of sales experience in retail banking, financial services or goal driven retail sales.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates acumen in banking, sales, investments, consumer lending, business banking, business lending, sales leadership, customer service, process management, coaching and colleague development and presentation skills.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfort with technology such as mobile services and online banking services.
  • Knowledge of consumer and business deposit products.
  • Ability to develop, influence, inspire and motivate colleagues to increase retention.
  • Proven business development and prospecting experience with demonstrated success sourcing new opportunities and growing relationships.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work independently in a large geographic territory.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, network, and build relationships with senior decision-makers.
  • Proven ability to manage a pipeline, prioritize opportunities, and consistently deliver results.

    Compensation Range:

    $80,000-$100,000 Annual Salary

    The compensation range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
