WATG is hiring a Business Development Manager for our office in Dallas, Tustin, or Los Angeles.

ROLE

The Business Development Manager assists senior team members in their pursuit of new business opportunities that support the continued success and development of WATG and Wimberly Interiors in The Americas. The Business Development Manager requires organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to think creatively while engaging with employees at all levels of the organization in support of business development systems, processes, activities, and pursuits.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Works closely with the Business Development team to help develop and implement strategies for winning business from target clients using appropriate CRM and internal resources, external resources, media and industry information
    • Assists with the development and implementation of strategies for retaining and enhancing existing target clients and other key commercial relationships. Implements a follow-up plan to gather pertinent project and client information at key milestones.
    • Supports the Business Development team with targeted research and market analysis on key target clients and stakeholders, geographies, industries, sectors and competitor information
    • Works with the Business Development and senior team to create and upkeep client relationship management plans and monitor upcoming action items
    • Identifies and manages target client lists, maintaining up-to-date information within our internal platforms, including CRM and ERP, tracking business development activity
    • Supports the redesign of our new CRM, creating and implements a robust, data-driven system that connects departments, creates efficiencies across systems, and informs business decisions
    • Identifies and maintains preferred supplier and brand qualifications lists to ensure WATG is successfully registered and qualified to participate in upcoming opportunities
    • Maintains and distributes business development reports, reviewing and maintaining key data points
    • Facilitates business development meetings to identify and track ongoing efforts across various market segments, regions and service lines
    • Researches new opportunities and assists with tracking the status and strategy for pursuits
    • Qualifies incoming leads, communicating with potential clients to establish project details and appropriate distribution of opportunities and next steps
    • Maintains ongoing communications with target clients to develop relationships and follow-up on opportunities and projects
    • Maintains our conference and event schedule and strategy and supports pre- and post-event business intelligence and effectiveness
    • Follows up on tender success and failures with clients and report feedback to the Business Development and management teams
    • Supports the facilitation and delivery of suitable presentations, credentials and portfolios to help pursue target clients and prospective project opportunities
    • Understands and supports the implementation of regional and local business development, marketing, and communication activities within the office to ensure best practices and quality control
    • Collaborates with Marketing to create strategic business development materials and support go-to-market email campaigns

          QUALIFICATIONS

          • 8+ years related experience in business development and client services in the AEC industry or other related professional services environment
          • Experience managing a CRM system
          • Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe Suite; proficiency with InDesign preferred
          • Self-motivated and results-oriented team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, across multiple studios
          • Excellent organizational skills, with an adaptable approach to managing multiple project priorities simultaneously, and with a high degree of initiative and good judgment
          • Effective communicator with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
          • Proven leadership, emotional maturity, and organizational effectiveness
          • Detail-oriented with a high level of customer service to both internal and external clients
