Business Development & Partnerships Manager

CWILL

Cary, NC • On-site, Remote

Full-time

Retirement, PTO

Posted 5 days ago

Job description

About US:
CWILL (pronounced "quill") is a post-purchase and retention suite built for Shopify & DTC brands. Reduce support tickets, recover lost revenue from returns, and turn one-time buyers into loyal fans - with tools purpose-built for every touchpoint after the sale.
The Role
This is a dual-mandate role sitting at the intersection of strategic partnerships and channel development. You'll own two critical growth levers: building and managing key infrastructure partnerships that support our core products, and developing the agency and channel ecosystem that brings CWILL to more Shopify merchants across the US market.
You'll be on the ground at industry events, in the room for partner negotiations, and in the weeds of channel strategy - all at once.
What You'll Do
Strategic Partnerships
• Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with key logistics and infrastructure partners critical to CWILL's product capabilities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for partner integrations, working cross-functionally with our product and engineering teams to ensure smooth collaboration
• Proactively resolve partnership-level issues and maintain long-term relationship health with strategic accounts
Channel & Agency Development
• Build and grow CWILL's agency partner program, targeting eCommerce agencies and service providers that work with Shopify DTC brands
• Develop and execute a channel strategy to expand CWILL's reach through referral partners, resellers, and ecosystem players
• Own end-to-end event strategy - from trade show selection and booth planning to on-site execution and post-event follow-up
• Manage the full partner lifecycle: prospecting, onboarding, activation, and ongoing enablement
Requirements
What We're Looking For
• 2-3+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or channel sales - preferably within eCommerce, SaaS, or logistics
• Strong understanding of the Shopify / DTC brand ecosystem and how agencies and service providers operate within it
• Proven track record of building and closing partnership deals, with experience managing multi-stakeholder relationships
• Hands-on experience with trade shows and industry events - you know how to work a room and convert conversations into pipeline
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; comfortable operating independently in a fast-moving environment
• Background in logistics, shipping, or carrier partnerships is a strong plus
• Bachelor's degree or above
Benefits
Starting Pay: 80-120K + Bonus, depends on experiences, open to negotiation
