Remote Behavioral Health Billing, Authorizations & VA Community Care Network (VA CCN) Specialist
( Must have Experience with Optum authorizations)
Location: Remote (United States)
Full-Time Position
Client Care Continuum (CCC), a CARF-accredited behavioral health organization serving veterans and individuals in recovery, is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Billing, Authorizations & VA Community Care Network (VA CCN) Specialist to join our team remotely.
This position is responsible for managing VA Community Care Network (VA CCN) referrals, Optum authorizations, behavioral health billing, claims processing, reimbursement tracking, and revenue cycle support to ensure timely and accurate payment for services.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage VA Community Care Network (VA CCN) referrals and authorizations. Coordinate and track Optum authorizations and continued stay requests. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits. Submit, monitor, and reconcile insurance claims. Investigate and resolve denied or unpaid claims. Post payments and maintain accurate billing records. Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to ensure documentation supports billing requirements. Generate billing, authorization, and reimbursement reports. Maintain compliance with payer regulations and organizational policies. Assist with revenue cycle management and collections follow-up.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years experience in medical or behavioral health billing. Experience working with VA Community Care Network (VA CCN) and Optum Required. Experience obtaining and managing authorizations. Experience with electronic health records (ICANotes experience preferred). Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
