About the Opportunity
A dynamic, expanding company with exciting opportunities in language/culture, training/education/instruction, IT, cyber security, and intelligence (analysts, CI, HUMINT, SIGINT, etc.) is seeking a Business Development Manager.
Mission:
Drive strategic growth by identifying, qualifying, and capturing federal contracting opportunities that expand the company's portfolio across U.S. government agencies.
Essential Job Function:
- Lead business development and capture efforts across the full federal procurement lifecycle-from opportunity identification through contract award.
- Build and maintain a qualified pipeline aligned with company capabilities, develop and execute win strategies, and foster strong relationships with government stakeholders and industry partners.
- Support proposal development by contributing to solutioning, pricing strategies, and competitive positioning.
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and regulatory changes to inform growth strategy, while maintaining accurate pipeline tracking and reporting within CRM systems.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Government, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of business development, capture, or sales experience in federal contracting
- Demonstrated success winning federal contracts (prime and/or subcontract)
- Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS and federal acquisition processes
- Experience with contract vehicles (GWACs, IDIQs, BPAs, GSA Schedules)
- Established network within federal agencies and/or government contractors
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience in IT, cybersecurity, Special Operations, linguistics, intelligence, engineering, logistics, or related fields
- Active security clearance (Secret or Top Secret)
- Familiarity with tools such as GovWin, SAM.gov, FPDS, and USAspending
- Capture management and/or proposal development experience
- Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., APMP)
