Job description

Moore & Van Allen PLLC, a dynamic and fast-growing full-service law firm of more than 400 attorneys and professionals, is seeking an experienced Business Application Analyst/Engineer to join our team. The Business Application Analyst/Engineer reports to the Director of Financial Systems & Reporting and will be responsible for maintaining and developing the firm's business intake forms and workflows and other financial systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring seamless system performance and strong integrations across Finance, Risk & Compliance, IT, and enterprise platforms.
What You'll Do:
  • Collaborate with Finance, Risk & Compliance, IT, and Practice Groups to translate business needs into system solutions
  • Maintain, configure, and optimize business workflows, forms, and approvals
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning new skills and technologies to support evolving business needs
  • Implement, monitor, and troubleshoot integrations between various enterprise applications (Aderant, HR, CRM, analytics platforms)
  • Design, test, and deploy forms and workflow logic to automate approvals and operational processes
  • Ensure data quality, security, and process compliance
  • Maintain system documentation, reports, and usage metrics

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or related field preferred
  • SQL database experience including stored procedures, functions, etc.
  • Experience in a professional services environment, preferred
  • Experience with form design, workflow configuration, integrations, and API Integrations
  • Familiarity with data analytics platforms and reporting tools such as Power BI preferred
  • Understanding of matter lifecycle, billing, conflicts, and client intake processes

Physical Requirements:
  • The work is primarily sedentary.
  • It requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • The work requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • The work at times requires bending, squatting, and reaching, with the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull light weights.

This position is remote work eligible only in the following states: NC, SC, FL, VA, TN, OR, OH, TX, GA, MA, and CO.
