Job description

POS-8087
Our mission at HubSpot is to help millions of organizations grow better.
The Product Marketing team is looking for a Lead Product Marketer to own go-to-market strategy and positioning for HubSpot's rapidly expanding portfolio of developer and agent infrastructure products. This role will shape how developers, AI-assisted builders, partners, and customers understand and adopt products including the Developer Platform, APIs, MCP, CLI, AI coding tools, etc. You'll operate at the center of one of HubSpot's most strategic growth areas, helping define HubSpot's position as the platform of choice for developers and agents.
This is a highly cross-functional role that partners closely with Product, Developer Relations, Engineering, Brand, Communications, Legal, Marketing, and executive leadership to deliver launches, shape narratives, and drive adoption. The ideal candidate combines technical fluency, strategic storytelling, and strong operational ownership to navigate a fast-moving and technically complex product landscape.
What You'll Do
  1. Lead go-to-market strategy, positioning, naming, messaging, and release marketing for HubSpot's developer products.
  2. Orchestrate launches for technical products including APIs, AI coding tools, MCP, CLI, Developer Platform, etc.
  3. Define and evolve HubSpot's emerging builder persona across traditional developers and AI-assisted builders using modern coding platforms and tools.
  4. Partner closely with Product Management, Developer Relations, Engineering, and executive stakeholders to align messaging, launch readiness, and product narratives.
  5. Build cohesive external narratives that translate technically complex capabilities into clear value for developers, partners, customers, and leadership audiences.
  6. Identify and experiment with new routes to market that drive awareness, engagement, and adoption among technical and non-technical builders.
  7. Develop launch assets, enablement materials, newsletters, campaign messaging, FAQs, release communications, and technical marketing content to reach new and existing users.
  8. Drive cross-functional coordination across a broad stakeholder network while proactively identifying dependencies and mitigating launch risks.
  9. Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, customer feedback, and usage data to refine go-to-market strategy and improve adoption outcomes.
  10. Support HubSpot builder-focused events and launch moments, including quarterly builder activations and technical product showcases.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
  • Significant experience in product marketing, technical marketing, or developer-focused go-to-market roles within a SaaS or product-led growth company.
  • Demonstrated success owning and executing end-to-end launches for technical or developer-facing products.
  • Strong understanding of developer ecosystems, APIs, webhooks, CLI, integrations, and technical platform concepts.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience developing positioning, messaging, and narratives for emerging or evolving product categories.
  • Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Strong executive communication and storytelling skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Data-driven approach to measuring adoption, engagement, and launch effectiveness.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools and workflows to improve efficiency, accelerate execution, and scale marketing operations.
  • High ownership mindset with the ability to operate independently in ambiguous and fast-moving environments.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Experience marketing AI infrastructure, developer platforms, APIs, or automation products.
  • Familiarity with modern AI-assisted coding workflows and builder platforms.
  • Experience partnering closely with Developer Relations or technical community teams.
  • Experience supporting technical events, developer communities, or ecosystem marketing programs.
Where You'll Work
  • Location: North America
  • Work location preference eligibility: Remote / Hybrid
  • Travel/Shift: Minimal travel required; occasional event support as needed
