The main purposes of this position are to outreach to, recruit, and support new incoming students enrolling at North Hennepin Community College. This position works closely with prospective students, applicants, and the communities in which they live and work. This position will recruit a diverse group of students to attend NHCC and manage a territory that includes high schools, communities, and organizations in specific geographic areas. Incorporated in this position are on-campus enrollment activities, off-campus recruitment, and virtual outreach. This position will also represent the Admissions and Outreach office as needed on groups and committees.

Salary Range

$50,947 - $73,706

Minimum Qualifications

  • One year of direct work experience in higher education, or a bachelor's degree, may substitute for 1 year of experience, and an associate degree may substitute for 6 months of experience

  • Demonstrated understanding of student and/or customer service best practices

  • Ability to demonstrate strong communication, presentation, writing, and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations of students, staff, faculty, and community members

Preferred Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience utilizing CRM solutions or related technologies for recruitment or sales

  • Experience in recruiting prospective students or customers, including individual follow-up

  • Experience developing creative outreach or communication strategies using available technologies

  • Experience working with both high school students and adult learners in an educational setting

  • Knowledge of ISRS (Integrated Statewide Record System) or similar student information system (SIS)

  • Ability to use data to guide decision-making

  • Demonstrated fluency in two or more languages

Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, with one late shift per week (9:30 am - 6:00 pm). Some nights and weekends required.
