8am to 5pm, M-F

As an Admissions Coordinator, you will:
  • Act as a liaison interfacing with referral sources, outside agencies, health professionals, field staff, and sales team.
  • Receive and coordinate all incoming calls, providing patients/clients and referral sources with basic information to assist in accessing appropriate services.
  • Communicate with patient/client and family regarding arrangements for the initiation of care/services.
  • Complete intake screening, including obtaining, documenting, and analyzing all required information to make a preliminary admission decision.
  • Receive and log referrals. Prepare reports and responses to inquiries. Provide telephonic contact and system data entry for customers seeking care/services.
  • Where permitted by law, receive verbal orders from physicians to initiate care/services.
  • Collect and enter patient information into the management information system.
  • Analyze and verifies patient insurance coverage as needed and determines payer priority for all potential insurance. Communicates coverage information utilizing agency software and coordinates with authorization and verification team.
  • Participates in daily stand-up calls with local offices to ensure follow-up on pending patients and accuracy of current admissions.
  • Coordinates admissions for all product lines.
  • Helps lead growth by ensuring all patient who desire our care get care. Surfacing all barriers and concerns to admitting eligible patients and working together with financial services, branch offices, sales team, and referral sources until resolved.
  • Will assist in rotating coverage for weekday evening, weekend, and holiday on-call.

To qualify as an Admissions Coordinator with us, you will need:
  • One (1) year of relevant experience in medical services or clinical environment with knowledge of medical terminology, previous intake/authorization experience preferred
  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or higher, multistate license will be needed within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships, possess team organization and community resources coordination skills
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills. Must be detail oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision while utilizing clear, concise, and positive communication skills
  • Proficient in common office equipment, including Windows PCs with Microsoft Office Suite, Copy/Fax machines, phone systems, etc.
