We are seeking an experienced Microwave Transmission Project Manager to lead our growing portfolio of wireless projects.


Position Overview

The Microwave Transmission Project Manager will oversee end-to-end delivery of microwave and telecom infrastructure projects, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time performance. This role requires a balance of field leadership, client management, and project oversight. The ideal candidate has a proven background in microwave systems, tower upgrades, and carrier-level

deployments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage planning, scheduling, and execution of microwave, UMTS, LTE, and 5G deployment projects.
  • Lead and support multiple tower crews and subcontractors on installations, upgrades, relocations, and maintenance.
  • Conduct and represent TCE in bid walks, develop scopes of work (SOW), review bids, and award contracts.
  • Coordinate equipment harvesting, radio replacements, system integrations, and backhaul upgrades.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair operations, including resolution of trouble tickets across assigned sites.
  • Deploy emergency response solutions (COWs, portable generators) during outages and natural disasters.
  • Interface with carriers, vendors, and customers to ensure alignment and client satisfaction.
  • Drive safety compliance, quality assurance, and accurate project documentation from kickoff through invoicing.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in microwave transmission, tower construction, or wireless telecom project management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple crews and managing subcontractors.
  • Strong knowledge of UMTS, LTE, 5G, and microwave transmission systems.
  • Ability to manage large-scale rollouts and multi-site projects under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in interpreting RF specs, construction drawings, and carrier requirements.
  • OSHA 30 (or ability to obtain).
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to travel regionally as needed.

Preferred Experience

  • Carrier-side experience with AT&T, Verizon, Ericsson, or similar clients.
  • Successful management of high-volume upgrades (1,000+ sites).
  • Background in emergency response communications and rapid deployment.
