Job Summary
We are looking for a professional who will be part of a highly skilled team of project managers and engineers who strongly contributes to the overall successful management of multidiscipline teams to ensure each project phase is completed on time, within budget, and to the customers' satisfaction. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience managing capital equipment projects from concept to completion and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
You will manage all aspects of system quotations and projects and have overall responsibility and accountability both internally and externally for project success, contributing to the overall sales result and customer satisfaction in the US & Canada.
The ideal candidate can be located anywhere within US, with preference to be based in the Minneapolis, MN area.
You may be required to travel up to 30 - 50% of your time regionally / globally.

What you will do
As a Project Manager you will:
  • Be responsible for project execution and providing project leadership to deliver project result.
  • Secure project deliverables according to project agreement (the contract) and act according to responsibilities in the project charter.
  • Breakdown and plan the project into phases and fulfill the plan and project milestones in time and in full according to budget.
  • Drive productivity in projects through utilization of global re-useable solutions, processes and tools including quality, project governance, and risk management.
  • Manage scope changes and issue variation orders.
  • Secure project communication and documentation according to project communication plan
  • Provide lessons learned and providing input to improvement or development of processes and tools.
  • Conduct and manage quotation development in conjunction with account managers for systems/modules
  • Provide sales support by giving technical and/or commercial presentations.
  • Conduct and manage project implementation of sold systems/modules. Provide issue management related to projects.
  • Manage project team and provide feedback to Senior Management on team member performance. Participate in project review board meetings.
  • Present Project Status Reports in monthly project review board meetings.
  • Continuous education in Project Management with the expectation to obtain or maintain PMP certification.
  • Execute according to Tetra Pak strategy and its elements.

We believe you have
  • Passion about being a Project Manager and leading a skilled team toward a common goal.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Chemical Engineer, Food Science or similar discipline; or equivalent skills and experience.
  • PMI certification, or the motivation to attain the PMI certification is required.
  • At least 5 years Project Management experience.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills and communication skills.
  • Negotiations skills and capability to maneuver through political and cultural situations effectively.
  • Industry Related Regulatory Knowledge (PMO, 3A, OSHA, CFR-113, etc.).
  • Microsoft Office; Microsoft Project; SAP; Basic AutoCAD Skills.
  • Experience with budgeting, fiscal management, and project planning.
  • Very good command of the written and spoken English language.
  • Ideally knowledge of dairy, beverage, cheese, and powder processing.
  • Able to travel extensively during implementation and commissioning of projects.

Pay Equity
Tetra Pak provides the following compensation range that in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is defined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. The estimate displayed is just one component of Tetra Pak's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include annual performance bonus, competitive benefits, and work-related allowances.
  • Annual Base Salary Range (ABS): $103,800.00 USD - $148,100.00 USD.
  • Short-term Incentive/Bonus (Variable Pay): Eligible to performance incentive of 10% of ABS.
