 Job Summary
The Part Time Evening Therapist is responsible for providing clinical services to clients participating in the evening Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Outpatient Program (OP) for substance use and co-occurring disorders. This position focuses on supporting clients in recovery through group therapy, individual counseling, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and clinical documentation during evening program hours.
The Evening Therapist works collaboratively with the clinical team to help clients develop coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, emotional regulation, and long term recovery goals while maintaining compliance with all clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Schedule
Part time evening hours based on program needs. Typical schedule may include weekday evenings between 2:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
Primary Responsibilities
• Facilitate psychoeducational, process, relapse prevention, CBT, DBT, and recovery focused groups
• Provide individual counseling sessions as clinically appropriate
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record
• Assist with treatment planning, progress reviews, and discharge planning
• Monitor client participation, engagement, and clinical progress
• Identify and respond appropriately to crisis situations or relapse concerns
• Collaborate with medical, case management, and support staff regarding client care
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times
• Ensure compliance with program policies and applicable state regulations
Qualifications
• CADC, LCADC, LSW, LCSW, LPC, or other clinically appropriate credential preferred
• Experience working with substance use and mental health populations preferred
• Knowledge of co occurring disorders, relapse prevention, and evidence based interventions
• Strong communication and group facilitation skills
• Ability to work independently during evening program hours
• Experience with electronic health records preferred
Work Environment
This position operates within a structured outpatient behavioral health setting serving adults with substance use and co occurring mental health disorders. The environment is team oriented, recovery focused, and client centered.
