Key responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory availability, capacity, sellout levels, and utilization across networks, dayparts, programs, and high-profile events.

  • Identify inventory risks and opportunities and recommend actions to improve utilization, protect revenue, and support client delivery.

  • Support management of oversold inventory, preemptions, underdelivery, liability, and other inventory exceptions.

Job description

TelevisaUnivision is the leading Spanish-language media company in the world! We're investing in our content, our people, and our properties, which span digital, streaming, social, audio, linear and live events. We're growing our offerings, building on the recent launch of our successful streaming platform, ViX. We were the fastest growing major media company in the U.S.

The Sales Operations Analyst supports the management, analysis, and optimization of linear advertising inventory across the portfolio. Working closely with Planning, Sales, Programming, Traffic, and other internal partners, the Analyst helps ensure inventory is accurately maintained, effectively utilized, and aligned with revenue and client-delivery objectives. The role combines day-to-day inventory management with analytical problem solving and will increasingly leverage AI, automation, and data-driven tools to identify inventory risks, recommend actions, and improve yield.

ABOUT YOU

The successful Sales Operations Analyst will move beyond simply reporting on inventory conditions to understanding why they exist and recommend what the business should do about them. Over time, as reporting and transactional work become increasingly automated, the role will place greater emphasis on analysis, exception management, validation of AI-generated recommendations, and improving inventory utilization and yield.

You are an Excel rock star, who enjoys analyzing numbers and data to provide insights into our sales organization. For you, every challenge is an opportunity to find a solution.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

  • Monitor inventory availability, capacity, sellout levels, and utilization across networks, dayparts, programs, and high-profile events.
  • Identify inventory risks and opportunities and recommend actions to improve utilization, protect revenue, and support client delivery.
  • Partner closely with Planning teams to ensure proposals, allocations, stewardship decisions, and inventory changes reflect current availability and business priorities.
  • Support management of oversold inventory, preemptions, underdelivery, liability, and other inventory exceptions.
  • Analyze supply and demand trends and provide actionable recommendations to Planning and Sales leadership.
  • Maintain and validate inventory-related data, including capacities, format grids, ratecards, program information, and other inputs used in planning and inventory systems.
  • Support inventory requirements for tentpoles, live sports, and other high-profile programming.
  • Partner with Programming, Traffic, Planning, and Sales Operations to resolve inventory issues and execute approved changes.
  • Use WideOrbit and related systems to manage inventory and support transactional workflows.
  • Leverage reporting, analytics, AI, and automation tools to improve inventory decision-making and reduce manual processes.
  • Review and validate AI-generated inventory recommendations as new optimization capabilities are introduced.
  • Help define business rules and identify exceptions that should inform future automated inventory workflows.
  • Develop a strong understanding of inventory economics and the relationship between pricing, demand, capacity, client commitments, and yield.
  • Document processes and contribute to consistent inventory operating procedures and team knowledge.
  • Support ad hoc analyses and special projects as needed.

YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in media, advertising, sales operations, inventory, planning, analytics, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong Excel skills; experience with reporting or data-visualization tools is preferred.
  • Experience with WideOrbit or other advertising sales/traffic systems is a plus.
  • Comfort working with data, emerging technology, AI, and automated workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across Planning, Sales, Programming, Traffic, Finance, and other functions.
  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn both the commercial and technical aspects of inventory management.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be willing to work onsite from the NY office location
  • Employment/education will be verified
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a fulltime basis

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location: Base annual salary: 64,000 - 70,000
