Key responsibilities

  • Support retail and outlet stores across the region by coaching, training, and developing store teams in selling, service, and product knowledge.

  • Observe client interactions and selling behaviors on the sales floor, providing real-time feedback to store staff.

  • Partner with store managers to identify performance opportunities, diagnose root causes, and track progress through coaching plans.

Job description

Acne Studios is a progressive luxury house and through collaboration and curiosity, we set high aspirations and strive for excellence. We value everyone's contribution and embrace feedback to develop ourselves and others. We aim to minimise our environmental impact across all our operations and to address societal challenges in the way we conduct our business.

As Sales Coach at our New York Office you will support Retail and Outlet stores across the region, driving sales performance and elevating brand standards through hands-on coaching and training. This role reports directly to the President, North America.

CULTURE OF COLLABORATION

We firmly believe that when you feel supported, included, and trusted, it enables you to enjoy your work and thrive in it. You will be a part of a team of colleagues with diverse roles and backgrounds, each with their unique skills and experiences.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Drive sales and KPI performance by coaching, training, and developing store teams in selling, service, and product, through in-store and virtual trainings, workshops, and coaching sessions
  • Observe client interactions and selling behaviors on the sales floor across North America studios, providing real-time, on-the-go feedback to Client Advisors and Store Managers

  • Adapt global/HQ-developed training content for the North America market and design new trainings and coaching plans that respond directly to identified gaps - combining short-term fixes (in the moment coaching, refreshers) with longer-term solutions (structured programs, updated materials) as needed, while maintaining consistency with brand standards
  • Develop Store Manager coaching and feedback competencies so leadership teams can sustain coaching momentum between visits
  • Develop and evolve the company's sales and service processes, training content, and tools, and own adoption of the training platform from onboarding through ongoing development
  • Own new hire onboarding and induction, partnering with subject matter experts at the market, region, and store level to set employees up to succeed from day one
  • Travel regularly across the North America region to deliver in-person coaching and training, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends around store and market needs
WHO YOU ARE

You have high aspirations and focus on details that create substantial impact. You enjoy working as a team and you embrace feedback to develop yourself and others. You are curious and thrive in a dynamic environment. Cooperation, respect, and clear communication are important, along with your ambition to learn and grow. If these qualities speak to you, we would love to have you on our team.

Specific personal qualities for this role:
  • Strong commercial mindset - results-oriented, with the ability to motivate and inspire others
  • Energetic, persuasive communicator with excellent organizational skills - able to command a room and hold attention in both training and one-on-one coaching settings
  • A natural problem solver, comfortable giving direct, real-time feedback and designing structured, longer-term development plans to close performance gaps
  • Service-minded with a client-centric approach
Specific experience and knowledge for this role:
  • Fashion-Luxury Retail background with 5+ years of coaching experience and experience working across different cultures and markets; luxury hospitality background a plus
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience customizing centrally-developed training content for a regional or local audience
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally

What matters most to us is not whether you master all the listed knowledge and skills. We are dedicated to recognising the potential in each individual.

We embrace diversity of people as well as ideas and viewpoints and encourage everyone's individual expression of their own identity.
