We are seeking an experienced Merchandising Manager to support and execute merchandising strategies for our bedding category. This role will be responsible for contributing to sales growth, maintaining profit margins, and ensuring optimal inventory management while staying aligned with current market trends and consumer preferences. This position will oversee bedding merchandising for specific stores/regions of corporately owned stores
Primary Job Functions
Category Management & Performance
  • Oversee day-to-day SKU management for Bedding category
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies to optimize margin and market competitiveness
  • Analyze category performance metrics and generate actionable reports for leadership
  • Recommend assortment optimizations based on sales data, market trends, and customer insights
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with supply chain to ensure product availability
  • Manage and oversee bedding merchandising operations for assigned corporately owned stores/regions, ensuring consistent execution of merchandising standards and strategies.

Vendor Relations & Product Development
  • Serve as point of contact for product vendors, building and maintaining strong partnerships
  • Conduct regular vendor business reviews to assess performance and identify opportunities
  • Collaborate with vendors on new product development, innovation, and exclusive offerings
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and promotional support with vendor partners
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Learning & Development to create comprehensive product knowledge training content
  • Ensure sales teams are equipped with accurate, compelling product information and selling tools
  • Collaborate with Marketing on product launch strategies, campaigns, and promotional calendars
  • Provide detailed product features, benefits, and technical specifications for marketing materials
  • Work with eCommerce and retail teams to optimize product presentation and messaging

Strategic Planning
  • Develop category strategies aligned with overall business objectives
  • Identify growth opportunities and emerging trends within assigned categories
  • Create and maintain product roadmaps for new introductions and category expansion
  • Conduct competitive analysis to ensure market positioning and differentiation

Secondary Job Functions
  1. Maintain reliable attendance.
  2. Actively participate in departmental meetings, training and education. Assist with training other employees and providing backup.
  3. Complete other assignments and special projects as requested.

Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent work experience, Required

Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in Merchandising or Category Management, Required
  • Management experience, Required
  • Bedding or Home Furnishings experience, Preferred
