About the Role

As an Upsell Account Executive for a SaaS company, you will drive revenue growth within an existing customer base by identifying expansion opportunities and promoting additional products, features, or higher-tier plans. You will build strong relationships with current clients, understand their evolving business needs, and deliver tailored solutions that maximize value and retention. You are consultative, data-driven, and skilled at navigating stakeholder conversations to uncover upsell opportunities. Your success will be measured by net revenue retention, expansion revenue, and customer satisfaction.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Find and qualify upsell opportunities within an existing book of business through usage data, customer feedback, and account reviews
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand evolving needs and position additional solutions
  • Lead product demos, pricing discussions, and negotiations for upgrades, add-ons, and expanded contracts
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, Support, and Product teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Track pipeline activity, forecast expansion revenue, and consistently meet or exceed upsell quotas

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in SaaS sales, account management, or customer-facing revenue roles, with a focus on upselling or expansion
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets, particularly within an existing customer base
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to uncover customer needs and align solutions to business outcomes
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with experience engaging multiple stakeholders
  • Data-driven mindset with proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and the ability to leverage usage metrics to identify opportunities
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment
