Regional Commercial Sales Manager - Southwest

AHF Products has a job opportunity for a Regional Commercial Sales Manager to be located in the Southwest - covering Southern California, Arizona, and Southern Nevada.

This position is responsible for the direction and coordination of sales efforts of AHF's Commercial Sales organization to achieve or exceed budgeted sales and volume/price/mix. This responsibility includes sales of commercial resilient, laminate, wood, wall base, porcelain and IMA products assigned to the region. This role would require in field travel of 75-80%, with travel/overnight stays 20% of that time. This individual will manage and assist the sales activities of a regional sales team by performing the following duties.

Job Duties:

  • Drive and grow profitable sales for all product lines.
  • Build relationships with key Contractors, Architects, Designers, Distributors, and End Users to achieve customer satisfaction and financial goals.
  • Development and implementation of all product and marketing strategies for Commercial products.
  • Ensure regional sales goals are achieved through the effective placement and motivation of sales professionals. Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop his/her sales organization. Assigns sales territory to sales representatives.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and development of Sales Reps within their region.
  • Provide input to and manages the sales budget. Analyze and control expenditures of region to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition.
  • Direct sales forecasting activities to the product level and set performance goals accordingly.
  • Review market analyses to determine customer needs, pricing procedures and programs. Analyze sales statistics to formulate policy and assist distributors in promoting sales. Advise distributors concerning sales and promotion initiatives.
  • Meet with key customers, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals. Deliver sales presentations to key customers in coordination with sales representatives.
  • Responsible for the regional job tracking process with sales reps and distribution. Identifies top opportunities to specify and close. Tracks monthly and reports results.
  • Merchandising Execution – Provide input regarding VOC/CTQ for key customers. Prepare competitive assessments and Gap Analyses.
  • Manage regional cost center within budget.
  • Customer Interaction - Travel to customer to solicit VOC. Attend distributor and rep training classes and attend customer visits to company locations.
  • Sales Financial Analysis – Analyze performance of territory, identify SWOT, and develop plan to address issues/problems and opportunities.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working in an outside sales role calling on a varied client base
  • 5+ years selling building materials products
  • Flooring product knowledge preferred.
  • Proven success selling to large corporate clients
  • Knowledge of specifications, design and phases required
  • Strong understanding of construction, real estate, and job site conditions

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently Expected to stand for long periods of time and expected to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Frequent Vision must be sufficient to see tools and equipment clearly. Plant conditions that include all extreme weather conditions (hot and cold), and a noisy and dusty environment.
