Job description

Custom Hockey Uniforms & Apparel | Power Play Factory Gear | [Salem, NH] Job Type: Full-Time | Compensation: Base Salary + Commission.

About Us:

Power Play Factory Gear is a growing custom hockey apparel company specializing in game jerseys, practice shells, socks, and team swag, including DTF prints, embroidery, screen printing, and branded merchandise. We outfit youth hockey teams from head to toe, and we're expanding fast. We need a driven, hands-on team member to help us grow.
The Role:

This is a dual-function position combining outside team sales with in-house production. You'll be on the front lines, building relationships with youth hockey organizations and leagues, while also getting your hands on our equipment to produce the custom gear you sell. If you love hockey, love people, and love seeing a product go from concept to ice - this is your job.
Sales Responsibilities:
  • Actively prospect and cold-call youth hockey teams, clubs, travel organizations, leagues, and recreational programs in the local area.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with coaches, team managers, athletic directors, and parents.
  • Present our product line (jerseys, shells, socks, tees, swag) and close multi-season team contracts.
  • Develop and manage a sales pipeline; track leads, follow-ups, and closed deals.
  • Attend local tournaments, showcases, and hockey events to network and generate leads.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and seasonal sales goals.
  • Provide customers with quotes, proofs, and order updates with excellent communication throughout.
  • Set up custom team stores on our website for players and family members to order merchandise directly.

Production Responsibilities:
  • Work with customers, vendors, and manufacturers on orders start to finish.
  • Operate heat press machines to produce custom practice jerseys, uniforms, and apparel.
  • Execute DTF (Direct-to-Film) transfers, screen printing, and embroidery decoration on garments.
  • Prepare artwork files and work with design tools to ensure production-ready graphics.
  • Perform quality control checks on finished goods before delivery.
  • Maintain equipment and production workspace to a clean, organized standard.
  • Assist with order fulfillment, packaging, and delivery coordination as needed.

What We're Looking For:
  • Proven sales experience, ideally in sports, apparel, promotional products, or a related field.
  • Existing connections with local youth hockey teams, leagues, or athletic organizations are a strong plus.
  • Hands-on experience with heat press, DTF, screen printing, or embroidery equipment preferred (will train the right candidate).
  • Self-starter who can work independently and manage their own schedule.
  • Strong communicator: Comfortable with in-person prospecting, phone calls, and email outreach.
  • Passion for hockey and youth sports.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical production tasks.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (local travel required).

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Base Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience.
  • Commission: Earned on every contract and order closed. Uncapped earning potential.
  • Performance bonuses for hitting seasonal targets.
  • Employee discount on all products.
  • Opportunity to grow into a senior sales or operations leadership role as the company scales.
