Flooring Sales Specialist

Hartville Hardware has been locally owned for over54 years- and our flooring department is one of the best in the region. We're looking for a people-first sales specialist who can help guests turn big decisions into great outcomes. If you know hardwood, tile, and carpet and love a consultative sale, this is your floor.

Compensation
Commission-based + hourly rate
Competitive base pay with commission on top - your effort drives your earnings. Strong performers earn strong paychecks.
Schedule
Days
5 days/week, typically includes Saturday with one weekday off
Sundays
Always off
Mon - Fri hours
8am - 7pm store hours
Saturday hours
8am - 6pm store hours
What you'll do
  • Greet guests and guide them through flooring options - hardwood, laminate, tile, carpet, and more
  • Listen to project needs and recommend the right product for the job
  • Hit and exceed sales targets through genuine, consultative selling
  • Stay current on product features, trends, and installation methods
  • Keep the flooring department organized, stocked, and visually sharp
  • Handle guest questions, concerns, and returns professionally
  • Partner with vendors and other departments to deliver a seamless experience
What we're looking for
  • Retail sales experience, ideally in flooring or home improvement
  • Solid knowledge of flooring materials and their applications
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Comfortable with basic computer use - POS systems, product lookups
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Certification or additional education in flooring sales or a related field is a plus - but a great attitude and strong sales instincts matter most.
