Job description

Overview

We are partnering with a well-established flooring contractor to identify a Flooring Account Manager / Project Manager to support residential, commercial, remodeling, and builder projects throughout the Sarasota, Florida market. This is a hybrid, client-facing role that combines business development, account management, estimating, and project management responsibilities.

The ideal candidate enjoys building long-term customer relationships while overseeing projects from initial consultation through final installation. Working with builders, designers, remodelers, property managers, commercial clients, and homeowners, this individual will serve as the primary point of contact throughout the sales and project lifecycle while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.


Key Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships
• Build and maintain partnerships with builders, designers, remodelers, property managers, commercial clients, and homeowners
• Conduct customer consultations to understand project requirements and recommend flooring solutions
• Prepare project proposals, estimates, and flooring takeoffs
• Visit job sites to gather measurements, verify project scope, and assess installation requirements
• Coordinate projects from sale through final installation while ensuring schedules and customer expectations are met
• Collaborate with installation teams, vendors, and internal departments to ensure successful project execution
• Monitor project progress, proactively resolve issues, and communicate updates with customers throughout the project lifecycle
• Deliver exceptional customer service while identifying opportunities for repeat business and referrals
• Maintain accurate project documentation and customer records throughout each project


Ideal Background

• Experience in outside sales, account management, project management, or estimating within the flooring, construction, or building products industries preferred
• Strong relationship-building and customer service skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of residential and commercial flooring products and installation processes preferred
• Experience using RFMS Measure or similar estimating software is a plus
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout the local market
