The Opportunity
The Legal Recruiting Coordinator coordinates lateral associate, summer associate, senior fellow and professional services track attorney recruitment and hiring for assigned office(s), coordinates Summer Associate Program and provides administrative support on lateral partner recruiting.
The Day-To-Day
On any given day, you will:
  • Collaborate with Partners, local leads and Legal Recruiting Manager to implement search strategy that aligns with the Firm's vision to promote diversity, collaboration, and innovation
  • Assist in training and integrating newly hired employees in the department
  • Obtain appropriate approvals for requisitions and offers from hiring attorneys and Department Chairs
  • Execute on sourcing plans, including (i.e., job postings, internal referral program, websites, networks, diversity organizations, career services offices, search firms, etc.) and identifies new and creative referral sources
  • Timely track and review applications for attorney positions and recommends qualified candidates for interview
  • Schedule interviews with candidates, gathers interview feedback, and prepares summary of interview evaluations
  • Ensure positive candidate experience by welcoming candidates, overseeing interviews, and providing prompt feedback to candidates and search firms
  • Maintain an updated recruiting database and prepares regular reports on the status of open requisitions and pending candidates
  • Communicate with recruiting agencies and applicants regarding inquiries, offers, and application status
  • Prepare correspondence in response to employment inquiries, including interview invitations, offer letters, rejection letters, etc.
  • Facilitate candidate paperwork and due diligence, including, resume, conflicts, verifying bar admissions & standing with appropriate state/agency, references, background check, references, and other appropriate documentation
  • Assist with on-boarding process for new hires and the completion of items on the Integration Checklist
  • Create a unique and rewarding experience for Summer Associates by providing hands-on experience, personalized mentoring, and engaging social activities
  • Plan and execute social events throughout the summer in collaboration with the local office and social committees
  • Monitor expenditures and ensures compliance with program and office budgets
  • Facilitate mid- and end-of-summer review process
  • Coordinate with legal search firms; ensures that contingency fee agreements are in place and current; processes placement fee invoices in a timely manner
  • Participate in national recruiting calls to develop and promote consistent firm-wide recruiting efforts and best practices
  • Participate in local office meetings and collaborates with local office administration on recruiting efforts
  • Assist the Legal Recruiting team with any projects or tasks assigned from time to time
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

You Have
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • A minimun of two years' law firm or other professional recruiting experience is required.
  • Working knowledge of iCIMS and Workday
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and technical skills

Location Specific Language
The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000 annually, which is based on a 35 hour work week. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Washington, DC. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for an annual merit increase and bonus pay.
