About the Role:
KC Care Management Inc is looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our team in Durham, NC! In this rewarding role, you'll help brighten the lives of those in our care by planning and facilitating engaging, meaningful activities. Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and leading daily recreational and therapeutic activities for residents or clients
  • Engage participants in social, physical, cognitive, and creative programming to promote overall well-being
  • Monitor and document participant attendance, progress, and responses to activities
  • Set up and break down activity spaces, materials, and equipment as needed
  • Collaborate with the activities director and care team to tailor programs to individual needs and interests
  • Assist with planning and executing special events, holiday celebrations, and community outings
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to participants during activities
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required; coursework in recreation, social work, or healthcare is a plus
  • Prior experience in activities, recreation, caregiving, or a related field preferred
  • Genuine compassion and patience when working with elderly, disabled, or vulnerable populations
