Job Profile
Job Summary
This position will be working with ACS, Correctional Center, and hospital locations to ensure that: clinical documents are scanned and/or uploaded to the patient's Medical Record within 48 hours of receipt; patient records are safeguarded and meet compliance and HIPAA Standards; and documents are managed to ensure that records and Medical Record numbers are maintained in their original conditions. Also, responsible for answering and transferring incoming calls; greeting and assisting with disclosing patient medical records to requestors; and assisting with data entry, filing, and retrieval of patient paper medical records.
Minimum Qualifications
School Education: High School Diploma (Or) GED-High School Equivalency
Licenses & Certifications: Reg Health Information Technician or RHIA certification (Preferred)
Work Experience: Four (4) years of experience in Medical Records or Related healthcare area (Preferred)
Language Skills: Bilingual skills preferred
Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact), Writing /Correspondence, Writing /Reports
Proficiencies: MS (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Analytical, Medical Terms, Statistical
Work Schedule: Weekends, Holidays, Flexible, Overtime, Travel; Might be required to travel to other Health Information Management sites to assist with coverage.
