Responsibilities
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
• Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Analyze financial data and investigate account discrepancies
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with accounting policies
• Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities
• Participate in internal and external audit requests
• Monitor fixed assets, accruals, and prepaid expenses as needed
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and operational departments
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 2-4 years of accounting experience preferred
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
• Experience with month-end close activities and journal entries
• Knowledge of GAAP principles preferred • Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis tools preferred
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, or similar accounting software preferred • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
