About the Opportunity

Robert Half is partnering with a growing Northeast Indiana manufacturer to identify a Temporary Accounting Specialist to support the accounting team during a leadership transition. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys a hands-on environment and can quickly step in to manage day-to-day transactional accounting activities.

This position will play a key role in ensuring accounts payable, accounts receivable, deposits, invoicing, and month-end processes continue to run smoothly while the company completes its search for a permanent finance leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and reconcile vendor invoices and manage accounts payable activities
  • Generate and distribute customer invoices
  • Request and track customer deposits on new sales orders
  • Apply customer payments and deposits accurately
  • Assist with accounts receivable processing and collections support
  • Review and code AP invoices to the appropriate accounting period
  • Support month-end close activities, ensuring invoices are recorded in the correct month
  • Assist with bank reconciliations
  • Prepare and distribute daily sales and order activity reports
  • Work within accounting and operational systems to maintain accurate financial records
  • Collaborate with accounting and operations teams to resolve discrepancies and support business needs


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or full-cycle AP/AR experience
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting processes
  • Experience supporting month-end close activities
  • Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
