Job description

The Front Desk Receptionist works in the clinic performing a variety of administrative duties pertinent to the beginning and end of the clinical encounter. The duties include, but are not limited to, greeting patients, data entry, answering phones and clerical work.
Patient Interactions
  • Greets patients as they arrive for appointments
  • Checks in patients under appropriate provider
  • Verifies personal and insurance information
  • Obtains a photo of patient for medical chart
  • Assists patient with completing paperwork
  • Collects appropriate co-pays and account balances
  • Schedule new patient appointments as well as follow up appointments
  • Checks patient out after appointment

Clerical Operations
  • Answers incoming calls
  • Route to appropriate department
  • Take messages as needed
  • Maintains a clean and safe workspace
  • Notifies administration of supplies needed
  • Keeps the waiting and reception areas clean and inviting
  • Coordinating with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow within the facility
  • Performs additional duties, as assigned

Requirements
  • Proven work experience as a medical receptionist or similar role
  • Knowledge of medical terminologies, procedures and diagnosis
  • Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
