WeVote is building a movement of excellent, passionate, part-time volunteers (starting with the founders) who build mobile technologies that will touch and mobilize millions of voters on Election Day. We believe that many voters are busy, distracted, and impatient. We have a goal of providing a positive voting experience that helps people decide how to vote. Join the WeVote Movement as a (remote) Volunteer Recruiter
WeVote has an open volunteer Recruiter role, aimed at supporting the Talent Acquisition/Recruiting team. This is a volunteer role, requiring 2-5 hours of time per week. You will have the opportunity to experience recruiting for many different roles, in a variety of different fields. We have a VERY strong inbound flow of candidates, so minimal sourcing is required.
Our ideal volunteer is passionate about politics and excited to use technology to educate voters and increase voter turnout. Therefore, an ideal volunteer Recruiter is also passionate about politics and wants to use those skills to guide volunteers through the interest, interview, and ultimately onboarding at WeVote.

What You'll Do:
  • Screen incoming applications, and conduct an initial video screen with potential volunteers.
  • Manage a queue of new, active, and inactive applications.
  • Accurately represent, answer questions, and guide potential volunteers through the application process.
  • Work with the Talent Acquisition Operations Specialists to create & publish new requisitions.
  • Provide your input to our recruiting process, our messaging, and anywhere you feel you or we can add value.

Who you are: Must haves.
  • You are an experienced TA professional with 1+ years of experience OR
  • You are a recent college graduate who has an interest in a career in Talent Acquisition
  • You want to work with an established and successful team.
  • You are committed to strengthening American Democracy.
  • You are striving for personal excellence, and want to do meaningful work that will make a difference.
  • 5-6+ hours per week, with at least 1-2 hours available during business hours.
  • You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • You are currently located in the US.
  • Prior experience working remotely.
