We are seeking an ambitious and intellectually curious Entry-Level Journalist to join our editorial team in the United States. We are also hiring two journalists in London.
This is an exciting opportunity for a recent college graduate who wants to build a career covering one of the world's most dynamic and globally significant industries. You will work alongside experienced editors and reporters, contributing to breaking news, in-depth features and analysis that senior executives across the aviation and aerospace sectors rely on.
You will gain exposure to major international air shows, industry conferences, earnings briefings and interviews with senior leaders from across the industry.
Key Responsibilities
  • Research, write and publish accurate, timely news stories for FlightGlobal.com
  • Support the production of features and analysis for Flight International and other editorial products
  • Monitor developments across the airline, defense and aerospace sectors, including earnings reports, regulatory announcements and company news
  • Conduct interviews with executives, analysts and other industry stakeholders
  • Assist with live coverage from major industry events and air shows
  • Develop ideas for multimedia content, including newsletters, podcasts and digital features
  • Contribute to social media coverage and audience engagement across your assigned coverage area
  • Uphold the highest standards of editorial integrity, accuracy, fairness and balance

Qualifications
What We're Looking For
  • A recent college graduate with a degree in journalism, communications, media, political science, business, aerospace or a related field
  • Excellent written English and exceptional attention to detail
  • A demonstrated interest in aviation, aerospace, defense or business journalism
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom environment
  • Strong research skills and confidence working with data, financial information and company reports
  • Professional curiosity and the confidence to ask insightful questions
  • A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn
  • The ability to work independently in a remote environment

Previous internship experience, journalism experience or published work is a plus, but not required. Must be eligable to work within the United States
