Job description

The Chattahoochee Valley Libraries is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Library Assistant I - Branch Services for the Columbus Public Library and 24-Hour Libraries. This is a 40 hour per week position. This position will serve as the primary service staff for stocking, maintaining, and troubleshooting CVL's 24-Hour Libraries. This person will divide their time between 24-Hour Libraries and working in the Circulation Department of the Columbus Public Library.
Position requires: All applicants must have a High School diploma or GED; have high energy and pleasing dispositions; excellent problem-solving skills; flexibility and versatility; strong technology skills; great customer service skills; and ability to work independently and with a team. Experience working with LS2 ILS is preferred. The position must also demonstrate good judgment and safe driving skills, to include awareness of basic vehicle maintenance, and safety practices and procedures. Applicants must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors, staff, and the public. Applicants must also be available to report to any branch in the system and work nights and weekends in rotation.
The position will collaborate with CVL departments & Envisionware to troubleshoot and maintain 24-Hour Libraries collections and operations.
Salary: $30,604 / year
