Job description

Lift Truck Oper - Waldo, AR

Pull green lumber and mark dimensions from the sawmill stacker and arrange it in the green yard. Supply reman and assist sawmill when needed. Load and down stack batch kilns and continuous kilns. Arrange down stacked lumber in the dry sheds. Arrange and maintain green yard. Assist kiln operators when needed. Hourly rate for this position is $24.19 per hour. Daily job duties include operating heavy forklift, completing a 360° walk around and check out lift before operating lift, pulling lumber from the green stacker mark dimensions and arrange in green yard, loading batch and continuous kilns as straight as possible in a timely manner, greasing kiln carts before each pass-through kiln, down stacking dried lumber and arrange it in the dry shed in a timely manner, fixing any lumber packages that are busted or damaged, arranging and maintaining green yards, picking up dropped boards and place in the proper bins before running it over, assisting kiln operators when needed, loading reman and support sawmill when needed, and following all applicable safety rules. Works regularly scheduled shifts. Work scheduled overtime – as required. Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Requirements include completing forklift safety training course and obtaining forklift certification.
