SUMMARY:
The Inventory & Logistics Manager is responsible for end-to-end ownership of material planning, inventory management, and logistics execution across Viaflex. This role ensures the timely, cost-effective flow of raw materials into production and finished goods to customers, while driving continuous improvement in service levels, cost, and operational efficiency. This leader is accountable for aligning supply chain execution with production, quality, and customer commitments, while building a high-performance, data-driven team focused on accountability and results.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Ensure availability of raw materials (resins, additives, packaging) to support production schedules.
  • Lead S&OP execution for materials and align demand, supply, and production.
  • Oversee inventory levels, accuracy, and material traceability.
  • Own inbound and outbound logistics execution (truckload, LTL, expedited, international).
  • Optimize freight spend through carrier selection, routing, and network design.
  • Monitor and improve OTIF delivery performance.
  • Partner with Production, Quality, and Customer Service for seamless material flow.
  • Identify and execute cost savings in freight, inventory, and material handling.
  • Lead logistics standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and develop planning, warehouse, and logistics teams.
  • Ensure effective use of ERP (IFS) and logistics/reporting systems. Provide reports and analysis to monitor and measure effectiveness of inventory management practices.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, ISO quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Administer annual team member performance reviews, goal setting, and participate in salary planning.
  • Keeps informed of new developments, methods, and techniques in the materials profession.
  • May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or may be asked to assist in other areas as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in business or technical field. Minimum 8 years related experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Demonstrated leadership skills with proven leadership and accountability. Considerable knowledge of inventory control procedures. Ability to coach, mentor, and empower team members to succeed. High level of patience and service. Ability to motivate team members. Must have strong analytical and ERP system experience along with excellent problem-solving abilities. Ability to identify waste and creatively look for solutions. Ability to be flexible and multitask. Proficient with computers. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
