Job description

Rayonier is seeking applicants to fill a full-time Millwright position at the Gwinn Lumber Mill. The successful candidate will be responsible for the construction, assembly, maintenance and repair of all facility machinery, hardware, equipment, infra-structure used in the manufacturing process.
Fixed Schedule - Rotating Weekends
Day Shift: 5:00am-3:30pm
Wednesday thru Saturday one week & Sunday, Wednesday thru Friday the next week
The hourly pay rate for this position is $35.05
Production & Quality
  • Machine center troubleshooting, repair, assembly preventative and predictive maintenance
  • Repair or replace chains, belt conveyors, and gear boxes/drive chains.
  • Perform welding using a wide variety of techniques (Arc, Mig, Wire Feed, and Oxy-Acetylene)
  • Follow technical drawings and manuals to fabricate equipment, make modifications and determine work procedures.
  • Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, power tools, and hand tools.

Safety & Environmental
  • Operates all equipment in a safe manner and maintains a clean work area.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.

Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years of technical training and or experience in general maintenance
  • A good attendance, work, and safety record.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Basic understanding of computers and window-based program
  • Demonstrates ability to perform basic PM's, alignment, and assembly functions.
  • Demonstrates basic repair & lubrication of equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to disassemble existing equipment or machinery for new installations, assembly, and or repair.
  • Must be capable of working in hot, dusty, cold wet, dirty, confined working environment on occasion.
  • Climbing of stairs and catwalks at elevated levels.
  • Carrying tools, bending, reading gauges, use of radio.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to provide own tools. Tool list provided.
