What is FIFO logistics?

FIFO logistics refers to the 'First In, First Out' inventory management method used in supply chain and warehouse operations. To thrive in FIFO Logistics, you need a good understanding of supply chain management, inventory control, and the First In, First Out (FIFO) method, often backed by logistics or warehousing certifications. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanners, and inventory tracking software is typically required. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are valuable soft skills that help prevent errors and optimize workflow. These skills and qualities are crucial for ensuring efficient stock rotation, minimizing waste, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
