What is a range assistant?

Range Assistants are individuals who support the operation and maintenance of shooting or golf ranges. Their duties typically include assisting customers, ensuring safety protocols are followed, maintaining equipment, and keeping the range clean and organized. They may also help with setting up targets, managing reservations, and providing basic instruction or safety briefings. Range Assistants play a vital role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a range assistant, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Range Assistant, you typically need knowledge of firearms safety, range operations, and basic maintenance, often supported by relevant safety certifications. Familiarity with range management systems, safety equipment, and incident reporting tools is also important.
