Job Summary/Basic Function
CAMP student workers assist CAMP staff with office tasks, support incoming CAMP students, and attend/promote CAMP at various events on and off campus with CAMP staff
Required Qualifications
  • Enrolled Millersville University Student
  • Available to work a maximum of 20 hours/week during the Summer, Fall and Spring semesters including evening and weekends when necessary
  • Must have good communication skills and work well with others
  • Organized, responsible, and dependable
  • Enjoys working with a diverse population and sensitive to cultural differences
  • Must complete 3 required clearances (PA Criminal Background, Child Abuse History, and FBI Fingerprints).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum GPA 2.85
  • Bilingual or multilingual

Job Duties
  • Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with CAMP students and CAMP staff
  • Assist CAMP staff with various office tasks
  • Assist CAMP staff at events on and off campus
  • Speak with large groups or one-on-one about the CAMP program and eligibility requirements for potential incoming CAMP students
  • Supervise the CAMP office and students as needed
  • Be able to set and maintain boundaries when working with CAMP students
  • Attend CAMP and university meetings and events as scheduled
  • Maintain and report work hours

Working Conditions and Physical Effort
  • Be able to assist CAMP Staff with various tasks on and off campus
  • Must have dependable transportation to MU
