Job Title: Open Rank: Assistant, Associate Professor - Clinical Scientist

Job Summary:
The Department of Dermatology at the University of Colorado in Denver, Colorado is seeking a full-time Dermatology Clinical-Scientist at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. This faculty position will develop a research program within the Department of Dermatology. This position will see patients in our robust clinical practice, working with outstanding physician/educators and physician/scientists, and mid-level providers.
Duties in this faculty position will include research, clinical, teaching, and service responsibilities.
Specific responsibilities will be as follows:
• This position would involve dedicating 50-75% effort to research. Research duties will be performed on the Anschutz Medical Campus. The Physician will be expected to develop an academic focus or area of expertise relevant to Dermatology and be involved in scholarly activities.
• This position is 25-50% clinical (2-4 weekly clinics or equivalent inpatient consult coverage time). Clinical duties will be performed on the main campus in UCHealth Dermatology clinics, treating a mixture of new and return patients. The physician is expected to be involved in academic activities.
• Teaching responsibilities include supervision of trainees in research and clinical supervision of trainees including medical students, residents, and fellows.
• The Physician will be expected to be willing to participate in departmental and institutional committees to further the mission of the department and institution, as needed.

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Instructor, Senior Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:
Assistant Professor:
• MD/PhD, MD, or DO degree
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Dermatology
• Eligibility for licensure to practice medicine in the State of Colorado
• 0-4 years of experience
Associate Professor:
• MD/PhD, MD, or DO degree
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Dermatology
• Eligibility for licensure to practice medicine in the State of Colorado
• 4-7 years of experience
Preferred qualifications:
• Current research funding to support research effort
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
• Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with academic, clinical, and industry partners.

Assistant Professor: $220,000 to $280,000

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
