Job description

GovCIO is currently hiring for Systems Engineer II / Edge Operations for our NIH-CIT proposal. This position is located in Bethesda, MD and is a remote/hybrid position.
Responsibilities
The role's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for delivering optimal availability and quality regarding the wireless network services
  • Participate in daily stand ups and utilize the kanban methodology to triage and resolve incidents and problems within established SLAs
  • As directed by senior engineers, participate in shift lead duties to serve as "queue managers" to ensure each escalated issue is efficiently assigned, actively being worked by expediting resolution and fulfillment to meet SLAs
  • Assist with proactive measures such as network monitoring, analysis, maintenance/patching, and documentation
  • Provide suggestions to management on continuous improvements in regards to communications, customer understanding, tools, technology, and equipment.

Qualifications
Bachelor's with 5 years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience
  • Clearance Required: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • CCNA/CCNP
