POSITION TITLE: Account Manager

REPORTS TO: Sales Operations Manager or Senior Lead Account Managerย

FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Salary, Exempt

LOCATION: Headquarters (On-Site)

ABOUT US

At the heart of Gable lies a passion that transcends the conventional. We're more than just creators of visual communications; we're experts at creating experiences. We believe that every brand, building, and place has a unique story to tell, and our mission is to elevate the way they are seen, experienced, and remembered.ย

We are committed to fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment where team members can thrive and contribute to our shared success.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Account Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing the pre-sale activity for assigned accounts and opportunities. This role supports the designated account owner by maintaining day-to-day communication with customer contacts, organizing opportunity information, coordinating internal pre-sale activity, and helping move opportunities efficiently from initial intake through complete turnover to Project Management once sold.

This role serves as a key liaison between customers, the designated account owner, Design, PACE, and other internal teams to ensure that scope details, required documents, and commercial information are accurate, organized, and ready for quoting and order conversion. The Account Manager also supports broader account growth by helping maintain customer relationships, identifying follow-on opportunities, and supporting upselling activity within existing accounts.

Depending on account assignment and organizational structure, this role may report to either the Sales Operations Manager or the Senior Lead Account Manager. Regardless of reporting line, all Account Managers are expected to follow a common pre-sale process and are accountable to shared administrative standards, workflow requirements, and documentation expectations.

This role is focused on pre-sale ownership and turnover readiness. Post-sale execution, including approvals, permitting, work order management, installation management, invoicing, and other downstream project delivery responsibilities, is handled by Project Management after turnover.ย

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Opportunity Coordination & Pre-Sale Execution

  • Receive new sales opportunities from the designated account owner or customers and enter complete, accurate opportunity information into the CRM and other required systems.
  • Set up orders and related records in ERP and ensure opportunity data remains current, complete, and organized throughout the pre-sale process.
  • Coordinate pre-sale activities including surveys, site meetings, preliminary drawings, estimate requests, bid support, proposal processing, and contract or purchase order intake.
  • Help define and document project scope, quantities, site conditions, customer requirements, and key assumptions before opportunities are submitted for estimating.
  • Track open opportunities and follow up internally to keep surveys, drawings, estimates, proposals, and related tasks moving on schedule.
  • Ensure all required pre-sale documents are uploaded, organized, and properly documented in company systems.

Customer Support, Account Development & Internal Coordination

  • Maintain strong day-to-day working relationships with customer contacts and provide responsive, professional communication throughout the pre-sale process.
  • Support the designated account owner in managing customer communications, gathering information, and maintaining momentum on active opportunities and broader account programs.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling, repeat business, multi-location rollouts, and other account expansion activity, and coordinate closely with the designated account owner to pursue them.
  • Participate in customer calls, site meetings, and internal planning discussions as needed to support opportunity development and account growth.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams regarding status, next steps, missing information, risks, and timing.

Turnover Quality, Documentation & Handoff

  • Receive and process proposals, purchase orders, contracts, and other incoming customer documents needed to convert opportunities into sold work.
  • Review turnover information for completeness and accuracy before submitting open order requests and transitioning work to Project Management.
  • Prepare and coordinate handoff meetings with assigned Project Managers to ensure a clean transition from pre-sale to post-sale execution.
  • Escalate scope gaps, commercial concerns, missing information, or other issues that could delay quoting, order entry, or turnover.
  • Help maintain consistent turnover standards and documentation quality across assigned accounts.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrated experience in account management, sales support, customer service, project coordination, or a similar client-facing role in a project-based business.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage day-to-day customer relationships professionally and effectively.
  • Ability to gather, organize, and document project scope information accurately before estimating and turnover.
  • Experience working across multiple internal teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and escalate issues before they affect timing or quality.
  • Proficiency with CRM, ERP, and related business systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, project information, and customer requirements is preferred.
  • Experience supporting estimating, proposal, bid, or pre-sale workflows in construction, manufacturing, signage, or a related industry is preferred.
  • Ability to support upselling, follow-on opportunity development, and broader account growth in partnership with the designated account owner.ย ย
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Manual dexterity to operate a computer and perform administrative tasks. Visual acuity (with correction) and the ability to speak and hear. Primarily sedentary work, with occasional walking, standing, or carrying of light materials.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • The work environment includes both office settings and manufacturing facilities. This role may involve occasional exposure to factory conditions such as noise, fumes, dust, and mist.ย ย
TRAVEL

Up to 5% travel is possible.
