Bauerโ€™s Intelligent Transportation is looking for an account manager to join our highly successful team in San Francisco. Bauerโ€™s IT is the Bay Area leader in luxury bus & shuttle service for individuals and the enterprise. Established in 1989 by Gary Bauer, Bauerโ€™s IT is committed to exceptional, environmentally conscious service.

The Bauerโ€™s Account Manager is responsible for all aspects of operation for the designated account(s) he or she manages. The Account Manager oversees managing operations, service accounts and operating records. Additionally, the Account Manager supervises all personnel hired to perform services provided under the contract.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee scheduling of regularly assigned project personnel and arrange the assignment of backup personnel
  • Oversee distribution and/or collection of daily and monthly operating reports and summaries
  • Ensure maintenance of project accounts and accuracy of monthly invoices
  • Respond quickly to operational problems and customer complaints
  • Act as liaison between Bauerโ€™s IT and the assigned account
  • Develop and implement program and department policies, goals and objectives
  • Develop program operating procedures and records maintenance system
  • Manage personnel in transportation programs including recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation.
  • Develop and maintain staff relationships to achieve high staff morale, productivity, teamwork, and retention
  • Responsible for budget forecasting and control, establishes and maintains maximum program services and purchasing within the limitation of budgetary constraints
  • Ensures that the program is compliant with local, state, and federal government regulations
  • Responsible for chartered services within the account, including quotes, bookings, and management of special events
  • Provides for quality assurance of program performance

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • MUST have a commercial driver's license (Class B or higher)
  • A customer-oriented commitment to quality improvement
  • An excellent leader and educator who demonstrates a โ€œcan-doโ€ attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office products and various operating systems
  • Knowledge of industry specific training in aspects of paratransit operations
  • Knowledge of managing vehicle care and maintenance programs
  • Ability to problem solve and work successfully in high-stress situations

Requirements:

  • Experience as an Account Manager
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in communications, business, marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
