What you'll do
  • Partner with department leaders to forecast procurement needs, align priorities, and ensure timely sourcing that supports operational goals across the property.
  • Develop, evaluate, and manage a network of vendors and suppliers, ensuring strong partnerships, competitive pricing, and consistent product quality.
  • Lead vendor negotiations, contract management, and performance reviews to drive accountability, service reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Finance and senior leadership to establish, manage, and forecast procurement budgets, ensuring alignment with financial targets and operational needs.
  • Identify and execute cost optimization opportunities while maintaining brand standards and service quality.
  • Oversee all receiving operations, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Manage inventory strategy across departments, maintaining optimal stock levels to support business demands while minimizing waste, shrinkage, and excess inventory.
  • Implement and monitor inventory control systems, including cycle counts, audits, and reporting to ensure accuracy and accountability.
  • Mitigate procurement and supply chain risks by maintaining contingency plans, ensuring compliance with company policies, and safeguarding operational continuity.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve purchasing and receiving processes, introducing efficiencies, standardization, and best practices across the organization.
  • Lead, train, and develop purchasing and receiving team members, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and operational excellence.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in procurement, purchasing, receiving, or supply chain management, preferably within hospitality or a similar operational environment.
  • Strong understanding of procurement strategy, inventory management, vendor relations, and cost control practices, preferably in a hotel, resort, or restaurant environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and manage vendor partnerships.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, tracking spend, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Proficiency in procurement systems, inventory platforms, and Microsoft Office (particularly Birchstreet).
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
  • Proven ability to lead independently, make sound decisions, and drive results with minimal oversight.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a continuous improvement mindset.
