Job description

As a Purchasing Coordinator at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans, you'll play a vital role in supporting hotel operations by coordinating procurement, receiving, inventory management, and accounts payable processes. This position serves as a key link between hotel departments, vendors, and finance, ensuring the timely and accurate flow of goods, services, and payments. The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for receiving and processing invoices for payment through the BirchStreet procurement system while ensuring the accuracy of all items, quantities, and pricing associated with purchase orders. This role reviews invoices for discrepancies, works directly with vendors and internal departments to resolve issues prior to payment processing, and tracks invoices through the payment cycle to ensure timely completion. The coordinator manages vendor payment schedules, maintains accurate supplier records within BirchStreet, and prioritizes payments to ensure invoices are paid within established credit terms.
