Purchasing Agent
 
Position: Contract (90 day right to hire).
Location: Wentzville, MO (no relocation).
Hours: M – F (8 to 5).
Status: Must be a US citizen.
Salary: $20 - $22 per hour (depending on experience).
Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Life insurance. 401K, PTO, Paid Holidays and much more upon conversion to an FTE.
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
 
Summary: Our client is seeking a Purchasing Agent to purchase critical and non-critical items from approved suppliers, assists in inventory analysis and metrics reporting, and communicates updates with sales and manufacturing.
 
Qualifications: 
• 3-5 years purchasing experience Competencies. 
• Proficient math and reading skills. 
• Proficient computer competency. 
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly. 
• High attention to detail and self-motivation skills Responsibilities.
• Place purchase orders with critical and non-critical suppliers. 
• Assist in inventory analysis and metric reporting. 
• Negotiate terms and oversee logistics for domestic and international shipments. 
• Communicate inventory and PO updates with sales and production. 
• Place intercompany purchase orders and perform related transactions.
