Summary:
The Purchasing Specialist at Martin Inc. is responsible for buying materials, equipment, supplies, and services by following purchasing regulations and procedures. This role involves all aspects of buying material, equipment, and services
Key Responsibilities:
  • Examine and analyze daily purchase requisitions for accuracy and completeness.
  • Determine the appropriate processing method for purchases.
  • Provide insights on supplier performance.
  • Prepare and analyze purchase orders according to procedures.
  • Work with data team to make corrections to system to support proper purchasing function.
  • Provide customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Resolve purchase order discrepancies promptly to ensure timely payment to supplier, and inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain effective vendor relationships through communication and collaboration.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • 3 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication/analytical skill.
  • Ability to sit for long periods.
