Job description

PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE-HEALTH DEPARTMENT

The City of Watertown is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Public Health Nurse to join our team and make a lasting impact on community wellness. If you value collaboration and providing a fresh perspective in serving residents through outreach, education, and preventive care we look forward to meeting with you! This position will have responsibilities in all public health programs with a primary focus on community, family, and maternal child health at a level two public health department.

As a Public Health Nurse, you will exercise considerable initiative and sound judgment to contribute to the identification of potential health needs, conduct comprehensive client assessments, and advocate for vulnerable individuals and populations. Requirements: Public Health Nurse will possess a Registered Nurse degree (Bachelor's degree preferred) in Nursing from an accredited program. Current nursing license with the State of Wisconsin is required and must be maintained for the duration of employment. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

Benefits package includes but is not limited to: paid vacation, sick, medical, dental, vision, Income Continuation Insurance, Wisconsin retirement system, flex spending, deferred compensation and stable working hours.

This is a full-time position with hours Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30 pm, occasional evening and weekends as needed.
