Job description

Location: Jefferson City, St. Louis Metro Area, and Kansas City, Missouri
Contract Length: 12 Months (with possible extension)

Position Overview

We are seeking motivated public health professionals to support state and local health initiatives across Missouri. This contract role will provide programmatic, analytical, and operational support in areas such as epidemiology, environmental health, laboratory services, nursing, nutrition, and community outreach. Candidates will be assigned based on their area of expertise and organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of public health programs.

  • Collect, analyze, and report health data to support surveillance and program evaluation.

  • Support disease prevention, environmental health monitoring, or laboratory testing activities.

  • Collaborate with state and local health teams, community partners, and stakeholders.

  • Prepare reports, maintain records, and ensure compliance with public health policies and procedures.

  • Provide education, technical assistance, or outreach to communities as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Public Health, Nursing, Laboratory Science, Epidemiology, Environmental Health, Nutrition, or related field (Masterโ€™s preferred for advanced roles).

  • Relevant experience in a public health or healthcare setting.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.

  • Flexibility to work in assigned regions (Jefferson City, St. Louis Metro, Kansas City).
